Clay’s Top Dog is proud to announce the establishment of “Top Dog K9 – Sport, Working, & Protection Dog Club.” As of March 23rd, 2017, Top Dog K9 became the 4th Official Affiliated Arkansas PSA Club in the State. For more information about the exciting Sport of PSA please visit www.psak9.org.
We specialize in helping owners tap into the potential inside their dogs to get the best results possible. Members attend trainings and concentrate on learning PSA training, IPO/Schutzhund, Police Service Dog Training, and Personal Protection Training. Because we do not believe in the “cookie cutter” method of training all dogs are given what they need most to be successful. Each dog is different and has different drives, desires, and needs. Because of this fact we look at the dog in front of us and plan the training with the goal of progressing the dog and making it better than the previous session.
Our trainers take the time to explain concepts to the owner/handler during training. As a result we believe that the understanding of “why” something is being done promotes great teamwork between owner, dog, trainer, and decoy. Most of all we strive to accomplish the owners goals using as little conflict as possible to create dogs that are problem solvers and not afraid to train.
Dog Training Club Schedule
Training currently takes place once a week on Sundays. Members select one of two monthly training plans currently available. Training fees cover, trainer and decoy compensations, equipment upgrades, advertising fees, and other club related costs such as sponsored events.
